Meet the team.

With over 30 years’ of experience, John is a true veteran of the financial services industry. As a founding shareholder of Moneybox in 2004, John is committed to maintaining the business’s customer-focused philosophy and to keeping Moneybox at the forefront of innovation when it comes to insurance and mortgage solutions. On weekends you’ll find John spending time with family and friends, or on the sports grounds.

Dharmesh is a shareholder and Director of Moneybox. Since joining Moneybox in 2007 as a Mortgage Advisor, Dharmesh has established a reputation for achieving outstanding results for his clients. With the benefit of a banking career, a BCA from Victoria University and 15 years working as a mortgage broker, Dharmesh is one of the most experienced members of the Moneybox team. Outside of his busy work schedule, Dharmesh’s young family and passion for sports keep him on his toes.

Cieran joined us December 2024. With over 10 years in the general insurance industry, bringing significant commercial and domestic expertise to Moneybox. He has a passion for customer service and providing insurance solutions. He enjoys building new relationships with clients and always makes sure to provide tailored insurance to suit their specific needs. Outside of work you’ll find him at the gym, on the golf course and hanging out with his young son Nico.

With over a decade of experience in client service, Jack has a proven track record of managing both teams and clients with care and expertise. Now, he’s bringing that passion to Life, Health, and Disability Insurance at Moneybox, offering personalised advice to help secure the financial futures of his clients. Outside work, Jack’s life is all about family—whether he’s chasing after his two lively daughters or making time for his favourite sports, from cricket to rugby league (Up The Wahs!). He’s also got a taste for Japanese food and a soft spot for country music.

Hiren has been with Moneybox for over seven years, starting out through our Graduate Programme while completing a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Finance and Property. He built a solid foundation on the lending side of the business and now brings that experience to his role as a trusted adviser. Known for his deep industry insight and forward-thinking approach, Hiren is focused on helping clients achieve the best outcomes. Outside the office, he plays Premier One hockey for the Wellington Indian Sports Club, where he brings the same energy and commitment he does to his clients.

Teresa joined the Moneybox Team in 2020, gaining her General Insurance accreditation in October 2022. While supporting the team in many areas, Teresa’s  primary role is managing the needs of our existing client base. Teresa is a keen traveller and with her background in Education, she’s lived in Japan, England and Australia. Now back in her hometown of Wellington, Teresa enjoys live music, dining out, staying active and baking up a storm!

Shanyia joined us in 2025, bringing over eight years of experience in customer-facing roles, and enough energy to power the office coffee machine! Back in 2019, she started in claims, before moving into advisory, where she found her stride helping clients navigate everything from home cover to commercial policies. She’s passionate about making insurance feel less like a chore and more like ‘peace of mind’ (with fewer hold-music nightmares).

Outside the office, you’ll find her at the racetrack, out on the water, or front row at a music event with a well-earned gin in hand.

Jo provides EA support to John and being highly organised, takes onboard all office administration tasks. She has a background in banking and real estate. When she’s not working, you’ll find Jo either in the garden, at pilates, out walking or enjoying the company of family and friends with a chardonnay or two.
